About Me
Kurt Weinreich is a Master Personal Trainer and Fitness Developer Colorado and utilizes his 22 years of experience in the fitness industry as a trainer, manager, and educator to assist in the development of other fitness professionals and club operational systems. Kurt has also consulted many clubs as a former senior instructor at the National Personal Training Institute, adjunct instructor at Heritage College, and as a national presenter for Achieve Academy. He recently began contributing to the first responder community as a Tactical Conditioning Specialist.
Kurt has several training awards including an Academic Achievement Award from the International Sports and Sciences Association and was chosen to be Fitness Ambassador to work the High Performance Training Center during the 2008 Olympics in Beijing. Kurt was also a radio co-host for "Fitness Fridays" on KBPI and was appointed to the Colorado Governor's Council on Physical Fitness in 2011 and again in 2013 to the Colorado Governor's Council on Active and Healthy Lifestyles.
Kurt is a competitive martial artist and self defense instructor. He recently competed with the U.S. National Stickfighting Team and has earned a Bronze Medal at the 2008 World Championships and a Silver and Gold Medal at the 2010 World Championships. He has trained in Ninpo Taijutsu, Nishio-Ryu Iaido, Doce Pares Escrima and Krav Maga. Kurt was selected as the Tokyo Joe's Athlete of the Month for June 2009 and the Victory in Performance Gear Athlete of the month for July 2010.
